to grandson

One of our owners' grandfather sold his cheese door to door

One of our owners' great-grandfathers already was a cheese porter and sold his cheese door to door in Huizen and surroundings. Many fishermen were forced to abandon the fishing because of the construction of the Afsluitdijk (Enclosure Dam). The inner sea of the Zuiderzee became the IJsselmeer (Lake IJssel) and the fishery came to an end. The people from Huizen are entrepreneurs and were used to travel. So, they developed a flourishing trade in cheese in the Netherlands and an ever-growing export to Germany and Belgium.

Also later, large cheese wheels were still cut in mother's kitchen

The boys went on selling them. It all has to do with the village we grew up in: Huizen, in the beautiful surroundings of 't Gooi.

Cheese goes international

Daily Dairy was introduced by one of our founders in Asia, Lily Huong.

We have developed our premium cheese brand V.S.O.C.

With different labels, a delicious ripened extra-matured cheese which is a fine example of Dutch craftsmanship. Together with our own signature items, which includes the Paulus Abbey Beer Cheese the first Dutch Gouda with actual beer. It's just the beginning of our continuous journey to expand our history for another century.

Rebranding Daily Dairy

In 2025, Daily Dairy was given a fresh, new brand identity. With the powerful pay-off ‘Here for it’, we show that we are always there for our customers, with personal attention, smart solutions and service that goes beyond expectations.

Today, our passion for cheese is stronger than ever. With dedication and craftsmanship, we continue to innovate while respecting traditional methods. Each day we work to refine our recipes, improve quality, and create cheeses that meet the tastes and expectations of customers all over the world.
